Bringing food, shelter, and education to children. Rooted in the Gospel and discipleship.
We believe those whom we rescue from the streets should be plugged into a local body of believers which the New Testament calls the church. We are church oriented in all that we do.
Our Story, Our Mission:
Bringing Hope to Africa
In 2010, Josh and Kelsey Lawrence stepped into the beautiful nation of Kenya with a simple but powerful vision: to plant a church that would bring both hope and transformation. What began as Calvary Chapel Eldoret quickly grew into a beacon of light — renewing lives, strengthening families, and inspiring communities across Africa.
Over the past 13 years, our journey has taken us from the dusty plains of rural villages to the bustle of major cities. Everywhere we go, the needs are immense — children without food or shelter, women trapped in poverty and abuse, and entire communities without the hope of Christ. We have seen firsthand that poverty is more than hunger or lack of clothing — it is hopelessness. And the greatest tragedy is that so many who suffer have never heard of Jesus, the Savior of the world.
That is why our mission is both physical and spiritual. We provide food, clothing, education, and shelter, but we also share the good news of Christ, who alone can bring lasting healing. Our focus is not only to rescue children and support underprivileged women but also to plant churches that will disciple, nurture, and transform. Because we believe, as Jesus promised, that “the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church.”
At GCM, we are convinced that real change only happens when the body and the soul are cared for together. This conviction shapes everything we do: building Hope Homes for orphans, creating safe spaces for women, and equipping local churches to shine as pillars of truth in their communities. Each act of service is an act of worship—an offering of love to the God who calls us to serve “the least of these.”
“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” — James 1:27
“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.” — Proverbs 14:31
We remain humbled and grateful for this journey. Despite the challenges, the reward has been immeasurable: seeing lives changed, communities revived, and hope restored through the power of Jesus Christ. And this is only the beginning.
Together, we can make a lasting difference,
one life at a time.
Bringing hope and transformation to communities through the Gospel, discipleship, and compassionate care.
A world where every child knows God’s love, grows in faith, and thrives with the support of the local church.
Making an Impact
Planting New Churches
We believe the church is the backbone of society and the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. The foundation of GCM is the church where people can be encouraged and receive discipleship.
Training Missionaries
We train both native and foreign missionaries to serve in Africa. This training will enable those to go and be effective in the various ministries they will be serving in.
Rescuing Women
We rescue women who have been sexually or physically abused, often left vulnerable and pregnant. We bring them out of danger and provide safe, temporary housing.
Building Hope Homes
We rescue orphans and put them in one of our Hope Homes. The children who have become family will be taken to one of our local churches and discipled .
Drilling Wells
We dig wells or drill bore holes to provide clean and sustainable water to locals.
You Can Get Involved!
Join us in rescuing children, protecting women, and restoring lives through Christ. Your prayers and monthly support bring hope, safety, and discipleship to those who need it most. Together, let’s change lives forever.

Statement of Faith
Church
We believe fellowship consists of a gathering of people who have the same confession, that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God and we call this the church, also we have the same communication. The Communication: We subject ourselves in obedience and submission to the authority of God’s word (Matthew 16:13-20). We believe that fellowship should not be forsaken, (Hebrews 10:23-25) and as the church, we should participate in the pillars of the new testament church correspondingly.
- Continuing in the word of God
- Prayer
- Fellowship
- Communion

- Church leadership. Elders/Pastors/Deacons (Acts 2:40-42)
The Trinity
We believe in one personal, transcended, Divine God, The Creator of all who exist in three separate persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(John 1:1-14, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 10:30 & Matthew 28:29)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, though fully God, became a man for the suffering of death. We believe that He is the promised Messiah, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious death on the Cross, bodily resurrected, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father and ever lives to make intercession for us. After Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out His Holy Spirit on the believers in Jerusalem, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit who indwells, seals, and empowers every believer, baptizing them into the Body of Christ. We further believe that the Holy Spirit will come upon any believer who asks in faith, him/her to preach the Gospel in power. We also believe all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Scriptures are valid for today and that they are to be exercised within the scriptural guidelines set forth by the Spirit. We believe that love is more important than all the gifts and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless.
God The Father
Spiritual Warfare
Inerrancy
Personal Growth
We believe worship of God should be intelligent. Therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshiped. We seek to teach the Word of God in such a way that its message can be applied to an individuals life, leading that person to greater maturity in Christ.
(2 Peter 3:18, Hebrews 6:1, Jeremiah 12:2 & Luke 17:5)
Gender
We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female.
(Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism.
(Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)
We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowman.
(Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)
Sin
We believe that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven and that person becomes a child of God.
(Galatians 5:19-21, James 1:14-15, Genesis 3:6 & Romans 3:9-12)
Regeneration
We believe that you must be born again before you can enter the Kingdom of Heaven and that only in Jesus Christ can someone be saved. We believe worship of God should be fruitful. Therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have been truly worshiping Him.
(John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-9, Matthew 9:6-9 & Romans 10:9-10)
