Daniel Balume was born in Goma, Congo to a pastor and his wife. Due to his musical abilities he was invited to Eldoret, Kenya in 2015 to assist a friend in music ministry. In the same year he joined Calvary Chapel Eldoret where he faithfully served in the music ministry as well as leading the young adults meetings. Eventually, in 2019, he became one of the CCE pastors then in April 2020 he married his love, Susan.

Dan’s plan was always to go back home to continue with ministry. But now that he had experienced expositional Bible teaching, he was convicted to return home and start a church where the Scriptures would be taught faithfully, verse by verse. So in September 2021, despite natural calamities and mounting insecurity, Daniel and his bride Susan moved to Goma and founded Calvary Chapel Goma.

Their rotational home fellowships have helped deepen their interactions with their members, and Daniel continues to use his musical gift as an evangelistic tool through his band. CC Goma continues to grow steadily as they deepen their knowledge of God through His word. They recently got a small space to conduct their meetings and we all praise the Lord!
